I have been very fortunate to be selected as one of the Team Canada athletes for the 2020 Invictus Games in The Hague.
Keep an eye out for future blog entries about my training!
Tri season is winding down here in Canada and the cold is creeping in (yes, my bike is on the trainer already, sigh), so I thought that it was a good time to start putting pen to paper, so to speak.
I have had some big changes in the past year or so. In addition to travel and triathlon, I have had to deal with being diagnosed with inflammatory autoimmune arthritis. It has been a steep learning curve, on how to navigate my new normal, but it does give me some answers in regards to some issues that I was having while training (tip, don't ignore your hands falling asleep on the bike).
While I navigate training and being active (along with travelling!) with my new limitations, I thought that I would share what works for me, what doesn't and everything in between. Feel free to ask questions, add your own advice and let us all hope for a mild winter for outdoor long runs!
